Job description
Engine type / model: MAN B&W 6L48/60B 31500kWRequirements:Responsibilities of the Scrubber Engineer include:-Review and scrutinize all scrubber documentation for installation and commissioning.-Point contact for scrubber installation and commissioning team and guide them for all the necessary support.-Work closely with the scrubber installation team and do daily reporting.-Maintain and operated scrubbers and associated equipment as required by the Manual Makers and/or PMS work descriptions and/or as direct orders given by the Chief Engineer and/or Staff Engineer;-Train and inform ECR watch keepers for the scrubber operation and required monitoring.-Closely monitor the scrubber operations and associated machinery; further raise any warranty claims if required.-Monitor the effects and performance of the d/g , economizer ; turbo charger together with First Engineer and Staff Chief Engineer. Any concerns to be addressed to Chief Engineer immediately.-Check stock of scrubbers and associated equipment spare parts to ensure minimum requirements is kept at all times;-The Exhaust Gas Cleaning System Engineer will work closely with the First Engineer when scheduling maintenance works on the equipment assigned and/or if additional manpower is needed.Position RequirementsChief Engineer License unlimitedExperience on board operating cruise vessels in equivalent rankGood command in EnglishCertificates according to STCW
